AQUAMAN: The son of Queen Atlanna and the wizard Atlan, Orin was abandoned because his blond hair was seen as a bad omen by Atlanteans. Raised briefly by dolphins as well as a lighthouse keeper named Arthur Curry, Orin took the keeper's name as his own. Eventually discovering his heritage, he became Aquaman, the ruler of Atlantis as well as a member of the JLA. Possessed of superhuman strength, durability, limited telepathy, the ability to breathe underwater and incredible speed. Recently, after being presumed dead at the hands of Imperiex, Aquaman was exiled from Atlantis. |

TEMPEST: Garth was the child of King Thar and Queen Berra of an independent Atlantean colony called the Idylists. Left for dead, Garth nonetheless grew to become Aquaman's partner, Aqualad and was a founding member of the Teen Titans. As he grew and became trained in the arts of sorcery, Garth adopted the name Tempest and once again became Aquaman's right-hand man. Although there was some friction between the two when Aquaman's lover, Dolphin, left him for Garth, the two have resolved their differences. Tempest and Dolphin are now married with a son named Cerdian. |
