BLUE BEETLE: The third person to take on the mantle of the Blue Beetle, young Daniel had a rough life growing up. His father was a supervillain and his mother was a drug addict, his rough childhood may have broken other men. But Daniel instead chose to improve himself and with the help of Ted Kord, has become the new Blue Beetle. Daniel has bonded with the Scarab that gave the original Blue Beetle his powers, granting him enhanced strength, durability, the power to fly for short distances, as well as the ability to generate electricity and a protective carapace around his body. |

TED KORD: A student of Dan Garrett, the original Blue Beetle, Ted Kord is a gifted inventor and one of the top minds in the world. While assisting Garrett on a mission, Garrett was killed and passed on the legacy of the Blue Beetle to his student, but was unable to pass on the Scarab that granted him his powers. Kord became the second Blue Beetle, relying instead on his acrobatic skills as well as numerous gadgets he developed. Ted has served as a member of the Justice League and has forged a long-standing friendship with his former teammate, Booster Gold. Recently, Ted chose to retire from crime-fighting and trained Daniel to replace him as the new Blue Beetle. |

BOOSTER GOLD: In the 25th century, Michael Carter was a college football star who was banned from the sport after found betting on his own games. Later taking a job as a night watchman at the Metropolis Space Museum, he studied displays of superheroes from the 20th century. With the help of a security robot named Skeets, Carter stole various devices from these displays, including a Legion flight ring and Brainiac 5's forcefield belt. He then used Rip Hunter's time machine to travel to the 20th century, intent on gaining fame and fortune as a superhero named Booster Gold. Eventually joining the Justice League, Booster Gold began a long-standing friendship with his teammate, Blue Beetle. |
