BATMAN: When he was a young child, Bruce Wayne stood by and watched as a jewel thief gunned down his parents. With their blood on his hand, he vowed to get revenge and spent his life travelling the world. On his journey, Bruce became proficient in numerous forms of martial arts and studied the criminal mind. When he returned to Gotham City, Bruce realized that criminals are a cowardly and superstitious lot. After seeing a bat fly into his study, he took the creature's image as his own and became the Batman. To some, he is simply an urban legend but to others, he is a frightening reality. |

CATWOMAN: Selina Kyle lived a rough life growing up, eventually turning to prostitution. After a chance encounter with the Batman, Selina chose to change her life and donning a costume, became Catwoman, an accomplished thief in Gotham City. Frequently running afoul of the Batman, she has sometimes been his adversary and sometimes she's been his ally. Recently, her and Batman have become closer and he revealed his true identity to her, taking her into his confidence and into his life. |

ALFRED PENNYWORTH: For many years, Alfred served as butler for the Wayne family, becoming a trusted friend of theirs. After the death of Thomas and Martha Wayne, Alfred became the legal guardian of young Bruce and did his best to try to raise the child. Now, Alfred remains Bruce's loyal butler and trusted confidant, the only real family he still has left. Alfred aids Bruce in his quest as Batman, bringing his experience as a medical officer from his days in the British armed services as well as offering advice and wisdom accompanied by his dry wit and sarcasm. |
